Range Yourself

Instantly vs Smartlead

Updated August 6, 2026· every figure checked against the vendor’s own pricing page

Smartlead is cheaper at the entry tier and lets you send more for the money. Smartlead's Base plan is $39 a month ($32.50 annually) for 6,000 email sends a month and 2,000 contacts. Instantly's Growth plan is $47 a month ($37.60 annually) for 5,000 emails a month and 1,000 uploaded contacts: more money for fewer emails and fewer contacts. Both state unlimited email accounts, and neither qualifies that claim anywhere on its pricing page, so mailboxes are not the axis. Where Instantly can pull ahead is volume per dollar higher up the ladder, which is why the full tier tables are below. We have not tested either and make no claim about which performs better.

RangeYourself has no affiliate relationship with any platform on this page as of August 6, 2026: every link here goes straight to the vendor’s own site and earns us nothing. We may pursue one in this category, and if we do we will say so here. Either way the ordering follows published prices and each vendor’s own stated terms, and a vendor that pays nothing is listed on exactly the same basis as one that does. Unlimited Prime$379/mo$314.60/mo500,000 email sends a monthUnlimited contactsUnlimited email accounts

Two of Smartlead's tiers are named Unlimited. Smartlead is explicit about what that refers to: contacts. The send cap stays in place and is printed on the same card, “150,000 email sends a month” on Unlimited Smart. A tier name is marketing; the number beside it is the term, and Smartlead prints both.

Where the two pages differ in what they disclose

Both publish enough for a buyer to work out what they will pay and what will cap them, so both rate full on the five disclosure items this index checks. The difference is internal consistency: on 2026-08-06 Instantly's Hypergrowth tier stated “Hypergrowth $97 /monthly ... 25 000 Uploaded Contacts 125 000 Emails Monthly” on one billing toggle and “Hypergrowth $77.6 /monthly ... 25 000 Uploaded Contacts 100 000 Emails Monthly” on the other. Smartlead's allowances read the same on both toggles, and its FAQ restates all four prices, which is a second first-party confirmation on the same page.

This is a description of two pricing pages on one date, not a judgement about either company. Pages get edited. The point of dating every quote is that you can check whether ours is still the page you are looking at.

Add-ons, which is where the published price stops being the price

PlatformAdd-onPublished price
SmartleadWhitelabel per client workspace$29/month
SmartleadVerified prospect emails (Base and Pro)$59/month
SmartleadSmartServers dedicated server$39/server/month

Smartlead publishes three add-on prices on its pricing page; Instantly publishes none there, and instead sells its lead database as a separate plan family on the same page. Neither approach is hidden, but they make the two headline prices harder to compare than they look.

This page compares what each vendor publishes about price and limits. It says nothing about deliverability, reply rates or inbox placement: we have not tested these tools, and we have not found a figure of that kind for this category that we could trace to an independent test.

Worth saying plainly, because it shapes what you are reading: RangeYourself currently has no affiliate relationship with any platform on this page, and every vendor link here goes straight to the vendor’s own site. If that changes, this line changes with it. Either way nothing here is written to push you towards a signup, no vendor pays for placement, and the ranked tables sort on published prices rather than on anything we are paid.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper, Instantly or Smartlead?

Smartlead, at the entry tier, and by more than the price gap suggests: $39 a month against Instantly's $47, both verified on August 6, 2026, and Smartlead's cheaper plan is also the roomier one at 6,000 email sends a month against Instantly's 5,000 emails a month.

Do both really offer unlimited mailboxes?

Both state it on their own pricing pages, and neither qualifies it there. Smartlead's wording is "Unlimited email accounts" and Instantly's is "Unlimited email accounts". What limits you on both is emails sent and contacts stored, which each vendor publishes per tier.

What does Smartlead mean by an Unlimited plan?

Unlimited contacts, not unlimited sending. Smartlead's Unlimited Smart tier states 150,000 email sends a month on the same card, so the send cap is published rather than buried.

Which one is better for deliverability?

We do not know and this page does not guess. We have not tested either platform, and we have not found a deliverability figure for this category that we could trace to an independent test.

Do either of them charge per seat?

Neither publishes a per-seat charge for its outreach plans on its own pricing page. Smartlead states that whitelabelling is charged per client workspace at $29 a month, and Instantly prices its lead database separately, so both have per-something charges that sit outside the headline.

How we verify this

Every figure on this page was read from the vendor’s own site and is stored with the URL it came from, a verbatim quote, and the date it was checked (most recent: August 6, 2026). That is the vendor’s pricing page in almost every case; where a vendor publishes its own machine-readable pricing file, a fact may come from that instead, and the stored URL says so. Where a page renders its prices in the browser rather than in the served HTML, we read the rendered page at the same URL and record that we did. Where a vendor publishes no number, we say so instead of repeating a figure from elsewhere. Nothing here is a performance claim: we have not tested deliverability, and no vendor’s own marketing is repeated as a result. Percentages are arithmetic on two published figures and nothing else. See our editorial standards and how we verify.
