CTM publishes three billing terms rather than two, adding a two-year pre-pay below its annual rate. It also publishes 12 distinct metered rates, 4 more than any other platform in this index: beyond numbers, minutes and texts it prices Transcription, VoiceAI, Outbound calling, MMS, Enhanced Caller ID lookups, Spam Detective lookups and Online fax. That is more disclosure than most of the category offers, and it is the reason a CTM bill is computable at all despite the empty allowance.

On unit rates CTM is cheaper on both of the ones that matter most: $0.04 against $0.06 a local minute, and $2.00 against $3.00 a number. What CallRail has is the head start of an included allowance. So the shape of the answer is that CallRail wins at low volume and the gap narrows as volume rises; the exact crossover depends on your own mix of numbers, minutes and texts, and both rate cards are above so you can find it.
Two things on CTM’s page worth knowing
The Enterprise two-year price differs between the HTML CTM serves and the page CTM renders. The served HTML puts $1500/mo (billed every 2 years) in the Enterprise column of the 2-Year Pre-Pay Option row. After the page's own scripts run, the same three Enterprise cells all read $1999/mo (billed monthly). We publish both and adopt neither: the $1999 figure is the one a visitor sees, and it is the one used in every calculation on this site. The transcription allowance does not reset. CTM states that its included minutes “are free until stated limit is reached, and do not renew each month.” CallRail's analysis minutes are described as included monthly. That is a material difference for anyone budgeting a year rather than a month.
- CTM's Included Value table includes unlimited tracking sources, unlimited users and unlimited triggers, but no numbers and no minutes. Both are metered from the first unit at every tier, which is why its $79 entry tier is not the cheapest month in this index.
- The transcription allowance is not a monthly reset. CTM states the included minutes "are free until stated limit is reached, and do not renew each month."
- Marketing Lite caps sub-accounts and charges for more: "25 $50/month for additional packs of 25".
- Enterprise publishes a base fee but not its usage rates, which read Volume-based pricing, so no monthly total can be computed for that tier.

Both name one and neither can be judged from a pricing page. CallRail puts "Unlock richer insights with Premium Conversation Intelligence™ to attract and convert more leads." on its Lead Conversion tier at $165 a month with 10,000 analysis minutes. CTM puts "Custom AI call analysis with AskAI" on Marketing Pro at $179 with 3,000 transcribed minutes per sub-account, and prices its AI voice assistant separately at $0.12 a minute.
Which offers a free trial?
CallRail: "Every account starts with a 14-day free trial. We don’t require a credit card to get started, and we won’t bill you until your trial is over." CTM's pricing page states no trial length; what it was advertising when we read it was a first-month promotion, "Pay $0 in Plan Fees for the First Month."
