Is CRM Pricing Monthly or Annual?
Updated August 6, 2026· every figure checked against the vendor’s own pricing page
Annual, shown as a monthly number. All 8 CRMs in this index load their pricing page with the annual toggle already selected, so the figure most buyers read is a twelve-month commitment expressed per user per month, verified on August 6, 2026. Switching each page to monthly billing raises every price. The gap runs from 22% to 111% across the set, with Close the largest. Only one vendor in the whole index, Pipedrive, prints the actual annual amount in dollars beside the per-month figure, which is the only way to see the commitment you are agreeing to without doing the arithmetic yourself.
RangeYourself has no affiliate relationship with any CRM on this page as of August 6, 2026: every link here goes straight to the vendor’s own site and earns us nothing. We may pursue one in this category, and if we do we will say so here. Either way the ordering follows published prices and each vendor’s own stated terms, and a vendor that pays nothing is listed on exactly the same basis as one that does. See how we make money and our editorial standards.
The two prices for every CRM in the index
Each figure is the vendor's own, read from its pricing page with each billing toggle set in turn. The percentage is arithmetic on those two figures and nothing else.
| CRM | Cheapest per seat, month to month | Same tier billed annually | Cost of staying monthly | Clarity |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot Sales Hub | $10/user/mo on Starter a current discount against a struck-through $20 per-seat list price rather than a standing rate | $7/user/mo on Starter a current discount against a struck-through $20 per-seat list price rather than a standing rate | 43% more | Full (3 of 3) |
| Freshsales | $11/user/mo on Growth | $9/user/mo on Growth | 22% more | Full (3 of 3) |
| monday CRM | $18/user/mo on Basic | $12/user/mo on Basic | 50% more | Partial (2 of 3) |
| Close | $19/user/mo on Solo | $9/user/mo on Solo | 111% more | Full (3 of 3) |
| Zoho CRM | $20/user/mo on Standard | $14/user/mo on Standard | 43% more | Full (3 of 3) |
| Pipedrive | $24/user/mo on Lite | $14/user/mo on Lite | 71% more | Full (3 of 3) |
| Copper | $29/user/mo on Basic | $23/user/mo on Basic | 26% more | Full (3 of 3) |
| Attio | $44/user/mo on Plus | $35/user/mo on Plus | 26% more | Partial (2 of 3) |
Which toggle each page loads on
| CRM | Toggle selected on page load | What the vendor calls the discount |
|---|---|---|
| Close | Annual | SAVE UP TO 50% |
| Pipedrive | Annual | Save up to 42% |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | Annual | BEST VALUE |
| Freshsales | Annual | SAVE 20% |
| Zoho CRM | Annual | No discount claim made |
| Copper | Annual | Up to 26% off |
| monday CRM | Annual | Yearly SAVE 33% |
| Attio | Annual | Save 20% |
Defaulting a toggle to the cheaper committed price is normal commercial practice and says nothing bad about any of these companies. It is recorded here because it is the single most common reason a CRM quote comes in higher than the number a buyer remembers seeing.
Where an advertised discount and the arithmetic differ
Most of these advertised savings are up-to figures, and an up-to figure is true if any tier reaches it. One worth checking against its own numbers is Freshsales, which advertises “SAVE 20%” and its published prices produce 18.2% on Growth, 17.0% on Pro and 16.9% on Enterprise. No tier reaches 20%. That is arithmetic on Freshsales' own two published figures per tier, and it is a small thing, but it is the sort of small thing that is worth being able to check.
The other things that sit outside the per-seat price
A billing term is not the only thing that moves the bill. 1 of the 8 vendors state a required charge outside the per-seat price, 1 state a seat minimum, and 1 price the seat rate according to how many seats you pick first.
| CRM | Required fee outside the seat price | Seat minimum | Rate moves with team size |
|---|---|---|---|
| Close | None stated | None stated | Not stated |
| Pipedrive | None stated | None stated | Not stated |
| HubSpot Sales Hub | $1,500 on Professional; $3,500 on Enterprise | None stated | Not stated |
| Freshsales | None stated | None stated | Not stated |
| Zoho CRM | None stated | None stated | Not stated |
| Copper | None stated | None stated | Not stated |
| monday CRM | None stated | 3 seats | Yes; rate read at 10 seats |
| Attio | None stated | None stated | Not stated |
- Ask for the annual total in dollars, not the per-seat monthly rate. Pipedrive publishes it; everyone else expects you to multiply.
- Ask whether the quoted rate is a standing price or a promotional one. HubSpot shows its Starter and Professional prices against struck-through list prices on its own page.
- Ask whether any one-off fee is required. HubSpot states two, at $1,500 and $3,500, and no other vendor here states any.
- Ask what happens to the per-seat rate when you add the fifth or eleventh person. monday prices by team size, and Attio caps its Plus tier at ten seats.
This page compares what each vendor publishes about price and terms. It makes no claim about which CRM is easier to use, faster to implement or better supported, because those are not things a pricing page can establish and we have not tested them.
Worth saying plainly, because it shapes what you are reading: RangeYourself currently has no affiliate relationship with any CRM on this page, and every vendor link here goes straight to the vendor’s own site. If that changes, this line changes with it. Either way nothing here is written to push you towards a demo, no vendor pays for placement, and the ranked tables sort on published prices rather than on anything we are paid.
Frequently asked questions
Do CRM pricing pages show monthly or annual prices by default?
Annual, on all 8 we track, expressed as a per-user-per-month figure. That is verified as of August 6, 2026 and it is the single most common source of surprise in a first CRM invoice.
How much more does it cost to pay monthly for a CRM?
Between 22% and 111% more on the entry tier across the CRMs in this index, computed from each vendor's own two published figures. The per-CRM numbers are in the table on this page.
Which CRM tells you the actual annual cost?
Pipedrive, and only that one. Pipedrive prints the annual amount per seat beside each monthly figure: Lite $168, Growth $468, Premium $708, Ultimate $948 per seat per year.
Can I switch from annual to monthly later?
That depends on each vendor’s terms and none of them answers it on the pricing page, so this page does not answer it either. monday states that a yearly subscription is paid in one upfront instalment with a prorated refund available within 30 days, which is the most specific statement any of these pages makes about it.
Is an annual CRM commitment worth it?
That is a judgement about your own risk, not a fact we can verify, so this page will not make it for you. What we can say is what the choice costs: the tables above show both prices and the gap for every CRM in the index.
How we verify this
Every figure on this page was read from the vendor’s own pricing page and is stored with that page’s URL, a verbatim quote, and the date it was checked (most recent: August 6, 2026). Most of these pages render their prices in the browser rather than in the served HTML, so they were read in a browser at the same URL, with both billing toggles set in turn. Where a vendor publishes no number, we say so instead of repeating a figure from elsewhere. A blank in the calling column means the vendor’s pricing page names no calling capability, which is a statement about the page and not a claim about the product. Percentages and totals are arithmetic on published figures only. See our editorial standards and how we verify.
